Conscious Exodus: Connecting on Our Exodus: Not that there isn't more to life than getting online checking Facebook, Tweeting, checking the bank account balance and paying a few bills,...

Overcoming the misconception of unapproachability is a task we all must accept at times. Understanding that some people will never really be there to help you do that is a misfortune. Accepting who you are and how you can help others overcome their misconceptions is unavoidable. We all need to feel appreciated and respected. When a person does not communicate with another and allows emotion to get in the way of right action, then we must ask "what is the real issue, an issue of unapproachability or the refusal to approach and cooperate?"

I have worked to make myself as approachable as possible, and for most (if not all) of my 12 years in school administration, have accepted that sometimes there are those few who still want more. We all should do all we can in life to understand each other. This development of understanding is paramount for the greater good of any organization or family. If one person refuses to develop and work on building the relationship, than that relationship cannot develop and will not exist. Openness is not a very easy thing for many people. Finding who we are and working together for a common cause is sometimes very difficult. The truth, I believe, is to be found in the actions of those who are the willing participants in the solution to the problem.

The storms of life come at us and make it rough.  I recall the story of Siddhartha Gautama and the Bodhi Tree.  The storms of lightning and winds and heavy rains did not move him. Sit still in the moment and be.

"If you light a lamp for somebody, it will also brighten your path."

In the darkest of times a light always shines somewhere in the distance or hidden behind a wall. Look for the Light. Walk around the walls. Climb to the top of the mountain so you may be able to look far into the distance and see the Light. Once found, help lead others to the Light.

Read today.  Revelation 6: The First Six Seals  The Seven Seals and the Seven Trumpets, and earlier in the text The Seven Churches.

Interesting things came to mind as I thought about the number seven and how it is used in our modern and ancient world.  The number seven is an extremely commonly used number.  Seven days of the week, seven year cycles of life,  Lucky Seven (7-7-7 Slots is a big winner, Big Red=7 at Craps and three 7's = 21 at Blackjack), and don't forget 7 is "neutral" on the pH scale.  With all this, of course, there are more serious things to consider when reading through Revelation 6.  Faith is one of those things that come to mind, as well as understanding your place in the fight between good (God) and evil (devil.)

So here's some things to consider when you think about the number 7 and the book Revelation.   The connections might be coincidence (if you believe in coincidence), but I would like to think there is much more to it all than that.  So is there some connection to these other important "Sevens"?  Are there more connections as you search for your answers?   Here are the few I found quite easily based on some of my research and background knowledge.

The Seven Hills of Rome.  The Seven Deadly Sins. The Seven Virtues of Buddhism, Bushido and Christianity.  The Seven Stars of Pleiades.  The Seven Stars also referred to as the Seven Stars of Freemason astrology and the NY Stock Exchange Bull Market (Taurus).  Amos 5:8 and a connect to Pleiades.

Go ahead, Google the number seven or check out this site for more about the number Seven.
